Death is not an easy conversation that many would like to have. But as much as we dread talking about it, it’s one of those things we all need to face to ensure that our loved ones are taken care of and prepared for after we leave this physical realm.
Every year National Wills Week allows attorneys to offer basic Will drafting services for free. This year, Wills Week was between 11 and 15 September 2023.
If you’ve missed Wills Week, don’t fret, many attorneys and law firms are offering Wills Month, which means for the entire month of September you can access attorneys to help you draft your free will.
What happens when you don’t have a will?

If you are unmarried, your husband or wife might be left with nothing, as a marriage may ensure that they are given what is due to them. Without a marriage certificate as a legal and binding document, a will can take its place and ensure that your partner gets access to your access after you’ve passed on.
Losing a loved one is heart-shattering in and of itself and having to all the admin responsibilities that are to follow can be daunting. Having a will also gives your loved ones peace of mind, as winding up an estate already takes a good few years, depending on how complex the estate is. Without a will, the process will be stretched out even further.
