Feeling tired? The rest of us are too. And it’s showing on Google Trends…
In a report published by Vice to Instagram on Tuesday, the publication revealed that the phrase “I am tired” is at its most Googled point in the history of Google Trends.
Since Google Trends started recording search data in 2004, the phrase has been growing in user searches. Just like a “wildly successful stock”, as Vice so aptly puts it. Except, it’s not the stocks that are climbing, it’s us – we’re climbing into bed.
A quick analysis on Google Trends reveals that the phrase “I’m tired” last peaked on Google in September, with South Africa ranking in the top 5 countries for the most searches of the phrase.
Other countries include Brunei, the Philippines, Jamaica and the United States.
Additionally, Google Trends shows that related queries searched on Google include “tired meme”, “I’m really tired”, “why I’m so tired” and “I’m very tired.” Not only are we trying to find the root cause this shared fatigue, but we’re trying our best to relay these feelings to others in a way we know best – with memes.
Well, why is everyone so tired?
