If you’re a mom, a gazillion of your text messages to your kids no doubt ends with the words, “stay safe”. Not sure if it is a South African thing or an engrained mom thing, but we know that it is a thing.
Years ago, the New York Post reported on a study showing that parents spend 37 hours a week worrying about their children’s safety. More specifically, 5 hours and 18 minutes a day or 80 full days a year. That’s a whole lot of worrying.
1st for Women did some qualitative research of its own and surmised that if moms knew that their kids were safe, they would live more fearlessly. That doesn’t mean that moms can live a life devoid of fear, but rather, a life in which fear doesn’t hold them back. They can take their children to school or school activities. Or travel to play days and birthday parties. Everything Moms want to do for their children.
To help, 1st for Women’s car, home, business and building policies come equipped with the Guardian Angel benefit which can be shared, at no extra cost, with 5 family members.
Having and sharing this benefit means that moms, and their kids, have access to:
Guardian Angel on Call: A dedicated vehicle fleet that will be dispatched to either assist with a mechanical breakdown, a flat battery or flat tyre, or to “stand guard” until help arrives.
Free and Unlimited Trip Monitor: With this benefit, 1st for Women customers (and/or their kids) will be contacted every 30 minutes to check that they are still safely en route to their destination. If that contact is interrupted, a loved one will be informed, and the time and location of their last communication will be shared with them.
Panic Button: Available through the 1st for Women app, it assists with alerting external help during any emergency, 24/7.
Crash detector: This smartphone-based automatic crash detection service can detect accidents and gauge the accidents’ severity based on a unique algorithm. In a severe accident, when the driver is unconscious, medical responders will be sent to the location immediately.
Imagine what moms could do, would do, if they had this peace-of-mind. They would live more. Fearlessly.
