Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have called it quits – again. Following rumours and confirmation from sources and friends of the Bennifer, JLO filed for divorce on Tuesday, according to People Magazine.
JLO is reportedly feeling “disappointed and sad” with the way their marriage has turned out.
The iconic couple, dubbed Bennifer by fans and media outlets, were first engaged in late 2002. After their initial split, both Ben and Jennifer went on to marry Jennifer Gardener and Marc Antony, respectively. However, having split from their partners, they re-united in late 2021.
After nearly two decades, the Bennifer reunion was celebrated by fans, especially when Ben proposed. Since their 2022 wedding, Bennifer’s dream seemed to finally have come true.
However, the dream turned sour, and recent reports suggest that Lopez made the difficult decision to end their marriage. According to People, the 55-year-old actress filed for divorce on Tuesday, citing April 2024 as the date of separation.
“She tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken,” per People. The pair are reportedly, “moving on separately” and focusing on their children and families.
