The Kolisi Foundation co-founder has returned to Paris with her two children – Nicholas and Keziah – to bid Paris adieu, after the family returned back to South Africa after just over a year of living in Paris.
Taking to Instagram to share a glimpse at the family’s journey back to the City of Love, Rachel wrote that the long haul travels weren’t a walk in the park. Despite hiccups along the way, the trio arrived safely in Paris.
“Very interesting start in London this morning. Landed in London from SA last night, up at 04:30 to make a early flight to Paris. Couldn’t get on the flight, took a 1.5 hour taxi to the train station, paid a small fortune for our tickets. But we all stayed calm, laughed at how ridiculous this morning has been and kept it moving.”
The former Springbok ‘First Lady’ later added that she had taken her children back to Paris to say goodbye to friends and teachers. This after promptly packing up and leaving Paris earlier this year.

“I’m taking them to Paris so they can say goodbye to all their friends and teachers. We didn’t know we weren’t coming back when we left in July – important they get to have closure too,” she wrote.
The trip back to Paris comes after Rachel and ex-husband and Springbok star, Siya Kolisi, announced their split in a joint statement in October 2023.
“After much reflection and open conversations, we have mutually decided to end our marriage. This decision comes from a place of love, respect, and understanding that this is the best path forward for both of us,” the statement reads.
Rachel has been vocal about her journey towards healing, with fans and followers on social media. In an Instagram post, she expressed her appreciation for the support received in response to her news about the split from Siya Kolisi.
