A farewell to the stage—for now
Speaking to fans during a recent performance, Adele confirmed her 100th show, set for the weekend before Thanksgiving, will mark the end of her residency. She emphasised that she has no immediate plans to return to performing, saying, “I don’t have any plans to be on stage indefinitely, really. But I’m looking forward to having loads of spare time to love on my kid, to love on my man, to love on another kid.”
Family takes centre stage
The singer has expressed her joy in being a hands-on mom to her 12-year-old son, Angelo, whom she shares with ex-husband Simon Konecki. Adele also revealed her excitement about potentially expanding her family with fiancé Rich Paul. Despite her global stardom, she enjoys everyday moments, such as cheering for Angelo during his flag football games, even if she admits she doesn’t fully understand the sport.
Turning down multimillion-dollar offers
Adele’s decision to prioritize her family over career opportunities hasn’t come without sacrifice. She reportedly declined a $200 million offer for additional concerts, including international stadium shows and a high-paying residency in Macau, China. A source shared, “She’s put her kid, her boyfriend, and herself first.”
Adele’s heartfelt farewell
As her residency drew to a close, Adele expressed gratitude to her fans, saying, “I will miss you terribly.” But for now, the Grammy-winning artist is ready to trade the spotlight for quality time with her loved ones—and perhaps, a new chapter as a mother of two.
