A raw and unfiltered journey
In her video, Jojo documented the entire process, from her reasons for undergoing the procedure to the recovery stages, including clips from the first-day post-surgery through six weeks.
“I wanted to share everything from start to finish,” Jojo wrote. “This video shows the reasons I wanted the facelift to the actual surgery itself. I shared videos that are really ugly—let’s not judge. But I wanted you guys to see it as it really was.”
The reality star admitted she initially regretted the surgery due to how she looked during the early recovery phase. She encouraged anyone considering a facelift to avoid mirrors for the first week to avoid feeling disheartened.
“The first week, I got depressed because I thought I had made a massive mistake. I looked like an absolute MONSTER… No one shares everything, so as women, we go into these surgeries blind and unaware that a lot of this process is normal,” she explained.
Jojo described the recovery as challenging, more emotionally than physically. “This isn’t the most painful surgery, but by far the hardest psychologically. Recovery is difficult and uncomfortable. But it’s ALL WORTH IT IN THE END.”

More than 20 cosmetic procedures
Jojo has been open about her cosmetic enhancements in the past. In an interview on The Carol Ofori Podcast, she revealed she’s undergone over 20 procedures, including six major surgeries.
These include:
- Three breast augmentations, with her third also involving a lift after her son’s birth.
- A tummy tuck, which she emphasized should only be done at an ideal weight to prevent excess loose skin.
- Liposuction, multiple times, to remove fat from her sides.
Other procedures include a thread facelift, microblading, lip fillers, and tattoos.
Jojo’s openness has sparked conversations about cosmetic surgery, encouraging others to approach these decisions with informed expectations and self-awareness.
