Michelle Constant, 50, SAfm 104-107 radio host and CEO for Business and Arts SA, shares her favourite local spots
Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve – It’s in Heidelberg, just an hour’s drive out of Joburg, and a wonderful place to escape the city vibes for a bit and go for a walk or some trail running.
My home – I’m lucky to have the most wonderful view, and have spent time further adorning the already beautiful design of my home. It’s a very calm and I feel safe in my home, which is important to anyone. It’s my happy place, and I’m lucky it’s so close to everything I need.
Wits Art Museum – It’s so beautiful there; I just adore their collection.
Villa Arcadia in the Hollard Campus – It’s the most wonderful place to look out over Joburg, especially in springtime, when all the Jacarandas are in full bloom. The building itself is wonderfully historic, and filled with the most amazing artwork.
Mapungubwe National Park. I went on an amazing holiday there in December 2014. It’s where they first discovered gold in South Africa, and you can go on the most interesting tours around the area. So simple, but fantastic.
