Everyone’s talking about The Mall of Africa, which has opened its doors in Waterfall City to a bevy of people wanting to shop ’til they dropped.
The mall is South Africa’s largest mall built in a single phase.
People have flocked to Waterfall City for it’s opening, with traffic on the highway backed up around the area
Here are a few need-to-know facts about the new shopping haven’s tenants.
Fashion
The mall is set to give stalwarts like Sandton City and Rosebank Mall a run for their money. Fashion retailers include Topshop, 7 For All Mankind, Mr Price, Cotton On, Hugo Boss and H&M, so shoppers will be spoilt for choice.
Food
The mall appears to have everything from sweets to big eats. You’ll find Haagen Das, Krispy Kreme, Life Grande Cafe, Simply Asia, Ocean Basket and Adega there.
Little people
The kids haven’t been left out: there’s a Hamley’s store at the mall, as well as various kiddie clothing stores.
The staples
You’ll find the regulars as well, with Game, Pick n Pay Clothing, Woolworths and Wimpy all having outlets at the mall.
Other good ones
You’ll also find Sorbet, Sorbet Man, an iStore, Dis-Chem, Dermalogica, The Tea Merchant, and Kiehls when traversing the new shopping centre.
