The 21st International AIDS Conference that was hosted in Durban this week comes to a close today.
The world-class conference was addressed by Charlize Theron, Prince Harry, and Elton John, who all delivered impassioned speeches calling for a united fight against HIV/AIDS.

Yabonga’s efforts are community-based, primarily focusing on reducing the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and their families. Yabonga also has HIV support centres where the organisation has trained more than 200 women and men since 2001.

mothers2mothers is dedicated to providing a sustainable model that helps effectively prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV. Mothers living with HIV partner up with doctors and nurses to mentor and provide care for pregnant women or new mothers.

Brothers For Life
Brothers For Life is all about promoting positive norms for men, especially in healthcare. One of their healthcare programmes is HIV Prevention which involves education on HIV testing, condoms and engaging in a safe sex life.

Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust
Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust (HACT) focuses on providing sustainable and practical ways to support those affected by HIV/AIDS. A few of projects that HACT continually runs are Community Vegetable Gardens, School Support Fund, and Chicken And Egg Projects.
