If you’re looking for a fun pamper to book when planning your December vacation, give Buff Beauty Parlour a try.
Buff is a stand-alone grooming parlour in Umhlanga that offers everything from nails, waxing, lash and brow grooming, and even a few extra’s for the gents. It also houses Essie’s first flagship store.
It’s quirky atmosphere and setting was inspired by Betty Boop – sweet and sexy! Its owners, sisters Tracy Gielink and Kim Davidson, and mother Debbie Davidson, are all very successful entrepreneurs, so it’s no surprise this will be a booming success.
“We have been referred to as game changers, which is an enormous compliment, but we just follow our intuition,” says Tracy. “It has taken three years to develop the Buff brand and it portrays our passion, idiosyncrasies and rather offbeat sense of humour.”
The layout isn’t like your usual salon, in the sense that all the different rooms are themed. There’s a punked out make-up room, brow bar, nail station, glow area (where teens can try out all the different skincare products), and the men’s workshop – so they don’t feel too girly.
