Changing up and organising your wardrobe from season to season might sound like a bit of a chore, but it’ll give you a much more pleasant space to navigate every day, and make your life easier to boot. With the current COVID19 lockdown period underway, there’s also no time like the present to get cracking on it.
And don’t worry if your clothes cupboard is small – organising and fashion gurus believe smaller wardrobes are more successful wardrobes.

Clear out
Start by clearing out your wardrobe and arranging your clothes into three separate piles: those you no longer wear and wish to donate or sell, those you’ll be packing out of sight to make way for your winter items, and those pieces you’ll be putting back into your cupboard to wear this season.
Top Tip: Pile your clothes starting with the heaviest at the bottom and ending with the lightest on top. This will help avoid causing damage to delicate pieces.
Create space
One of the most important things you need to be mindful of is creating more space. Stackable bins or boxes will help you utilise the vertical space in your wardrobe more efficiently, and are perfect for storing extra accessories or rolled up T-shirts.

Colour-coordinate
The best way to organise your wardrobe is by arranging your clothes according to colour, from lightest to darkest.
Top Tip: To achieve a cohesive cupboard, use matching hangers to draw focus to the clothing.
Don’t forget your shoes
Your clothes aren’t the only items that should be shuffled every season. Arrange your shoes from heel to toe, as not only does it help create more space, but it also allows you to identify your footwear with ease.
