It has been 30 years since Madonna’s revolutionary book took the world by storm. Celebrating imagery that created discomfort yet liberation, provocativeness yet celebration of the body. The book, “Sex,’ was released in 1992, and this year marks the 30-year celebration of this iconic moment in culture.

In collaboration with Anthony Vaccarello, Madonna curated an art installation at the Miami Art Basel.
The exhibition will be hosted by world-renowned designer brand, Saint Laurent. The experience will feature imagery by Steven Meisel and written words by the icon herself, Madonna.
Images from the book will be blown up, bigger than ever before, paying homage to the book that caused an outrage of controversy. Back then, celebrating sex was seen as slightly taboo or the least inappropriate.
In today’s age, the book is seen as a celebration of the art of the body, the liberation of expressing oneself, and one’s sexual identification and sexual nature.
800 copies of the 1992 classic book will be re-printed for Saint Laurent. The exhibition will be presented in a unique ‘art box’ structure, created specifically for this collaboration.
The installation will also have exclusive merchandise available for the public to purchase, and will be running from 29 November to 4 December, in Miami. Madonna, won’t you invite us?
