TikTok is rife with trends that come and go every few weeks. But, when it comes to makeup, what the app says, generally goes. And if last year is anything to go by, the 2024 makeup trends are going to be fire.

Frosted face
Over the past couple of years, cool makeup tones have been all the rage – especially for unique eyeshadow looks. But, this year, that bright, frosted look will go down to the cheekbones. In some cases, you might even spot the dewy highlighter on the edges of collarbones.
Fresh glam
We’ve all heard about the “clean girl” look, and while that’s slowly making its way out, the dewy, almost bare-skin look isn’t going anywhere. TikTok makeup influencers have come out and made it clear the “fresh” look is here to stay – even when paired with the “mob wife” aesthetic.
French makeup
Now that I’ve mentioned MakeupTok (the makeup side of TikTok), I have to mention the rising popularity of the “French makeup look.” This trend has sprung up now and then, and it’s back in style this year.
The French makeup look involves bold lips – typically red – and even complexion over contoured makeup and eyeshadow.

Matte is back
Yes, I know, matte foundations and lips bring back some PTSD from 2016. I know I still have nightmares about the Essence Foundation mouse on my freshly cleaned skin. Yikes.
But, luckily, with all that we know about skincare and how you should apply your makeup, the matte look won’t be as scary. Instead, it’ll look clean, and smooth.

Let’s not forget matte lips – and to be fair, that look has always been fantastic.
Doe eyes
2023 was the year of Siren Eyes. This year, it seems that doe eyes are in. Instead of sharp lines, we can expect the rounded eyeshadow look to make its mark this year – all leaning towards that soft, more natural vibe that seems to be staying this year.
