Louis Vuitton is stepping into the world of beauty with a big announcement – it’s beauty division, La Beauté Louis Vuitton, will be launching Autumn 2025.
Leading the charge is Dame Pat McGrath, the iconic British makeup artist, who’s been named Creative Director of Cosmetics at Louis Vuitton.
McGrath isn’t just any makeup artist—she’s a global name. Known for her stunning work at Louis Vuitton fashion shows for over 20 years, she also founded Pat McGrath Labs, a brand that redefined luxury makeup.
In 2021, she became the first makeup artist to be named a Dame by Queen Elizabeth II.
Now, she heads the cosmetic devision of the global luxury brand.

Louis Vuitton swerves into the beauty lane
This move towards beauty is not totally new to Louis Vuitton.
Two exceptional examples preserved in the Louis Vuitton archive date from 1925: Le Milano was a bespoke kit made for the soprano Marthe Chenal, while an exquisite toiletry case was also created for the Polish composer, Jan Paderewski. The first Louis Vuitton handbags for women were also designed with the need to carry daily essentials including cosmetics.
“La Beauté Louis Vuitton is a natural business evolution,”, says Pietro Beccari, CEO of Louis Vuitton.
Details on the La Beauté products are still hush-hush, but a combination of Louis Vuitton’s craftsmanship with McGrath’s bold vision can only mean good things.
