In what is arguably one of the most innovative ideas we’ve seen in a while, Mariah Carey released a video of herself transitioning from a Halloween witch to Santa’s favourite on Monday evening.
Carey released a video to her socials of herself in a witch Halloween costume cycling on an exercise bicycle, giving us all the spooky energy of the pumpkin holiday. The scene then transitions to very festive scenery with Carey changing into her very iconic Christmas outfit that was first seen in her “All I want for Christmas” music video, two decades ago.

As the video sees her transitions into her festive uniform, she gives the audience her iconic Mariah belting note, singing, “Its Time” which officially welcomes the festive season. The reindeer, the festive lights, gifts, and decorations set the scene for what the next two months will look like across the world.
Mariah also recently announced her two Christmas shows coming in December and fans couldn’t be more thrilled.
Fans also made their voices heard on Twitter; some loved the idea of the swinging into the festive season, while as with everything, others had their own opinions too.
I start decorating on October 31st, there’s a deeply personal reason connected to my grandma, but it also makes my heart and so happy, and I think all that’s enough also cuz I want to
I love this so much and I’m going to take it, thank you!!!— LifeRuiner103 (@probheardright) November 2, 2022
There’s only been two original Christmas songs in the last 50 years that stand the test of time. “This Christmas” by Donny Hathaway, and “All I Want for Christmas”. Let the haters hate… I love it, and I always cry like a baby each time I hear it.

Hello Ms. Carey, please refrain from celebrating Christmas until after Thanskgiving. Thanksgiving is currently the most disrespected holiday in American culture, which is disappointing because only Americans celebrate it. As an alternative, create a Thanksgiving song! Thank you.

Regardless, we love Mariah owning her place as the Queen of all things festive, and we’ve already got our festive playlists ready with ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ on repeat!
