From Valentine’s engagements to romantic summer weddings, the season of love has arrived, and will see many happy newlyweds walk down the aisle. Before we get there, though – let’s look at some of the top wedding trends set to take 2023 by storm.

We’re looking for champagne showers, custom decor and personalised touches, fruit and flower displays that flatter, and wedding confetti that spares the mess.

Let’s get into it.

Champagne dreams

Champagne towers are luxe, they look gorgeous, and make for the perfect photo op!

If a glass tower gives you anxiety, that’s not where your champagne dreams have to end!

Champagne tubs are your next best option. A bathtub filled with your favourite sparkles (Veuve Clicquot, please) and ice is the perfect centrepiece for a bubbly bride and groom to be.

Custom ceramics

Why spend thousands on fancy ceramic plates that don’t mean a thing to you? Work with a talented local ceramic artist to develop a range of custom ceramics and crockery for your wedding table. This gives you more freedom to play around with colour and setting, and the ceramics make for a cute keepsake once the big day has come and gone.

Fruit and florals are in fashion

There’s nothing more gorgeous than a vibrant floral/fruit affair. If you’re working on a table setting that’s more down to earth, a fruit/floral display is the best way to capture a bit of colour to your setting without overwhelming the eye.

If you’d like to go all out with a grazing table, go ahead! You can dim it down too, by using fruit as decor only. Using a dried slice of citrus, bits of fig, apple or pomegranate are all great ways to highlight the natural colour accents of your floral decor, and they tie the setting together well.

Hanging escort cards

Escort cards are the cousin of wedding place cards, which you usually find stuck on a board or at the table itself. Make things a little more whimsical by handwriting guests escort cards to guide them to their tables, where they will find there handwritten placements.

Get creative with escort card placements. Think of combining with your hanging floral arrangements, or outside the venue on a beautiful tree.

Personalised wine

A personal touch makes all the difference! What better way to do so, than by designing guests customised bottles of wine for the occasion? Add a special message to your bottle, or even a photo of the newlyweds to commemorate the occasion.

If you’d like to take it a step further, personalised wine glasses and champagne flutes will be a hit! Another great idea for a keepsake guests can take home with them.

Wedding wands are in

We all love the classic confetti shower after a special ceremony, but the bits of confetti paper can get a bit boring.

If you opt for wedding wands instead, guests can wave their ribbons at you as you walk by. Your hair and gown won’t be covered in confetti, and the strings of ribbon look gorgeous in a photo op. You won’t be squinting to avoid a grain of rice to the eye either…
