Jessikah Inaba has achieved something both commendable and unheard of by establishments in the United Kingdom. At 23, Jessikah has been named the first blind, black woman to become a barrister in the UK!
In an interview shared with Daily Motion, Jessikah reveals that she is completely blind. Still, she completed her 5-year studies at the University of Law London Bloomsbury, which commenced in 2017. She shares that because of her eyesight condition, people tend to ‘baby’ her or assume her level of capabilities.
However, she does give credit where credit is due, and shares that her family and loved ones have been her biggest support.
“My parents and my older sister and my younger brothers have always been there to champion my cause,” says Inaba in her interview.
