Reviews for the second Independence Day movie have been less than favourable.
However, we feel like we’ll have to go and see it for ourselves. Here are our top 5 reasons for heading to the movies this weekend to see Independence Day: Resurgence.
5. Nostalgia
Can you believe that it’s been 10 years since Independence Day hit our screens? We can’t, which is we want to see the new one and relive our excitement from all those years ago.
4. Is there a way without Will?
We loved Will Smith in the first movie, so we’re a bit disappointed that he’s not in the new one. Can Jeff Goldblum and some snazzy new effects save the day? We’ll have to see for ourselves.
3. Who are the baddies?
Why are the aliens after us this time? Surely The Fresh Prince scared them off in the first movie. According to reviews it’s a female at the helm of the alien attack. Hell hath no fury…
2. What will get destroyed?
The White House wasn’t safe in the first movie… So we’re wondering who and what will get spectacularly annihilated in the sequel.
1.Number 1 reason: Liam Hemsworth
The eye candy offering comes in the form of the slightly less popular Hemsworth brother. He might not wield the hammer of the gods, but we know from The Hunger Games that he can hold his own in an action movie.
