Our striking October cover star – actress Taylor Schilling of Orange Is the New Black fame – is an absolute animal lover. She lives in New York with her adorable French bulldog, Tank, and it’s clear her and Tank are inseparable. She takes him with her to sets and when she films on location overseas, but says her fussy pooch isn’t a fan of Canada. Taylor suspects it’s the cold weather…
No matter where they are, Taylor and Tank share a very special bond. In the picture below, Taylor shared a very exhausted-looking Tank from the set of one of her latest projects.

A Talking Tank
Taylor and Tank are so close, in fact, that they’ve learnt to speak the same language. A few years ago, the actress posted this incredibly cute video as evidence that her beloved Tank can speak. And, we’re smitten.
Do our ears deceive us? Is her dog literally telling her that he loves her? This brings puppy training to a whole new level.
A few people have asked for more videos, following up on what else the talented Frenchie can say. But Taylor says that was it. According to the actress, that’s all Tank needed to tell her. And, once he’d shared his feelings, he went back to dog language. But we promise to keep an eye out for any more evidence of Taylor’s talking pooch.

Taylor’s Special People
Aside from her beloved French bulldog, Taylor says she’s proud to have surrounded herself with really wonderful people. She says that having close friends and family is what it’s all about and her Orange Is the New Black co-stars are among her inner circle. “I’m only where I am today because of the incredible people supporting me, and a lot of them are my co-stars,” she says. “We’re like sisters. We’re a motley crew of actors and writers, but I really feel that [these people] were meant to be part of my life.”
Taylor is also close with her parents, and says her father played a big role in encouraging her to act. She says, “My father has always supported my dream to act, even though he knew it would be a struggle.” The actress shared that her dad once wrote her a beautiful letter in which he said how he backed her decision. Apparently, she’s never taken the letter out of her wallet, even to this day.
