With its reasonable prices, quick delivery and digital options, the online shopping store Amazon has become a go-to for anyone wanting to splash on some reading materials. And now they have launched their first ever top 20 book chart!
Rather than taking to the Sunday Times to find out the bestselling books to look out for, avid readers can now head straight to Amazon for all the intel on the hottest reads and add to their basket straight from there.

The online retailer has four different book charts for customers to browse through to pick their next read: most read fiction, most read non-fiction, most sold fiction and most sold non-fiction.
This week’s most sold lists saw a host of popular fiction reads climbing the ranks, including Rachel Abbott’s latest thriller, David Nicholls’ new book and Tayari Jones’ award-winning An American Marriage.
Unsurprisingly, non-fiction hits included Michelle Obama’s Becoming, Adam Kay’s This Is Going To Hurt and Yuval Noah Harari’s Sapiens.

Great British Bake Off’s Nadiya Hussain’s latest cookbook also made an appearance, as well as blog-based healthy cooking recipe book Pinch of Nom.
And while the most read non-fiction chart seemed to generally reflect the most sold, while Becoming, This Is Going To Hurt and Sapiens coming out top, the most-read fiction charts painted quite a different picture.
While a couple of the most-sold thrillers managed to make the most-read chart, there was a surprise genre that seemed to dominate.

Fantasy fiction took over the most-read fiction chart, with all of J.K. Rowling’s seven Harry Potter books making the top ten, and George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones coming in at number 13.
The newest instalment J.K Rowling’s Cormoran Strike detective series Lethal White, which she wrote under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, also made the top 20.
