The good news just keeps on coming! On Monday 22 January, Mine De Klerk – wife to Springbok champ Faf – posted to her Instagram stories revealing that she and Faf are expecting their first child together!
First Anlia and Eben, then Marise and Handre, and now Mine and Faf! South Africa’s Springbok champs and their wives are celebrating a season of pregnancies as yet another iconic Springbok couple shares the news they’re expecting.
Over the weekend, Faf and Mine De Klerk celebrated a special occasion with their closest friends and family in tow – their baby shower.
The couple had not publicly revealed that they had been expecting a child until on Monday morning, when Mine took to Instagram stories, reposting snaps from their baby shower.
In a carousel post by Jandre Koch – wife to Springbok Vince Koch – on Instagram, Mine poses with some of her closest friends and family (with the baby bump in spotlight) at the couple’s baby shower.
Koch’s post is captioned:
“Celebrating the beautiful mommy to be. You are a child of God, you are wonderfully made, dearly loved, and precious in his sight ✝️Psalm 139✝️”

An Instagram story posted by Marilie Botha, the De Klerks’ stunning baby shower comes in full view, complete with a balloon ark, ‘Baba De Klerk’ signage, food platters, floral displays and the cutest selection of babygros.
Mine and Faf have not made any further announcements that they are expecting a child publicly. Knowing the couple – who frequently keep their fans and followers abreast with their lives – they will be letting us in on the journey soon!
