Hollywood’s Renée Zellweger will be returning to the big screen in her iconic role as Bridget Jones.
Reports online have confirmed that 54-year-old Renée Zellweger is set to star in the eagerly anticipated fourth film in the series, titled Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.
Drawing from Helen Fielding’s bestselling novels of the same name, the next (and fourth) chapter of the fan-favourite ‘chick flick’ series will follow Bridget Jones in her 50s, as she navigates life as a widow and a mom-of-two.
As per reports, the film will welcome a host of familiar faces including one of Bridget Jones’ biggest loves – Daniel Cleaver, played by Hugh Grant. Emma Thompson will also make her appearance as Dr. Rawlings, while Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall will be two fresh faces on set.
Each installment in the series – including the latest Bridget Jones’s Baby, released in 2016, has gained major box-office success. If these romcom hits are anything to go by, fans can expect another sensational return from the quirky, loveable character.
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy will hit theaters worldwide on Valentine’s Day, 2025.
