American actress Anne Heche has passed away at 53-years-old, following a terrible car crash.
The actress, known best for her roles in I Know What You Did Last Summer and Donnie Brasco suffered a car crash recently that saw her engine engulfed in flames.
Heche is believed to have crashed into a Los Angeles home which left her in critical condition. On Friday, she was said to be brain dead, and the decision to take Heche off life support came shortly after.
Heche’s children have shared their beautiful tributes, with eldest son Atlas sharing that he hopes his mom is “free from pain and beginning to explore what I like to imagine as her eternal freedom.
Another representative for Heche said, “we have lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother and a loyal friend.”
Ellen DeGeneres, who had a relationship with Heche back in the 90s, also shared her tributes. On Twitter, she expressed that “This is a sad day. I’m sending Anne’s children, family and friends all of my love.”
