The singer shared the news on his Instagram stories, stating “South Africa I’m coming.”
Brown’s post included a video featuring both South African and Brazilian flags, hinting at performances in both countries.
However, specific dates for these shows have not yet been revealed, leaving fans eager to know more about his upcoming performance/performances in sunny SA.
This announcement comes on the heels of Brown’s successful 11:11 tour, which saw him perform across North America and Europe. During one of his final shows, he teased the audience with a cryptic “See you next year,” possibly alluding to plans for 2025 – a milestone year marking two decades since his debut album’s release, reports Cape Town ETC.
Brown’s connection to South Africa runs deep. He famously made a cameo appearance in the popular South African soap opera “Generations” and last performed live in the country in 2015 at Johannesburg’s Coca-Cola Dome. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with several African artists, strengthening his ties to the continent.
In recent years, Brown has continued to foster connections with South African talent.
He selected South African singer Tyla as a supporting act for his UK and European tour last year. His latest album, “11:11,” features a track called “Shooter” with KwaZulu-Natal artist Naledi Aphiwe, whom Brown has publicly praised for her vocal prowess.
