It all started with an Instagram post, a video sharing spectacular views of our African skies coupled with the caption “new chapters.” Shashi Naidoo, South African TV personality and entrepreneur, took to her socials in September, in what seemed to be the beginning of a new journey for her, a journey that soon followed with a gallery of wanderlust moments shared in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Naidoo, who is known for her incredible Instagram content in fashion blogging and inspirational videos and posts, recently jetted off to Dubai. Fans share their sentiments in the comments:

At this point, we weren’t sure if Naidoo made the move permanently, but some of her posts did include the phrase ‘ex-pat’ which left us wondering. Her follow-up posts included sexy swimwear pictures with a beautiful Dubai backdrop, rounded off with exquisite dinners and breathtaking views.

By the looks of it, it definitely did. After her first week there, Shashi shared an overview of her visit, saying that it felt like an extended holiday but that she’s sure things will return to normal very soon.

In one of her most recent Instagram stories, Naidoo shared that Nando’s in Dubai, although really good, just is not the same as on her homegrown turf in South Africa. When it comes to flavour, we just know how!
Seeing all Shashi’s posts definitely leaves us yearning for a holiday break with spectacular views and sand on our feet, but we wish Miss Naidoo nothing but great adventures on her new journey! SA will always love you and cannot wait to have you back on our soil.
