Former Miss South Africa Natasha Joubert is officially off the market—and soaking up every moment of newlywed life. After tying the knot with her longtime love, Enrico Vermaak, in a romantic ceremony last month, the couple whisked themselves away to the dreamy shores of Mauritius for a luxurious honeymoon.

A romantic retreat in paradise
The couple are staying at the exclusive Shangri-La Le Touessrok, a five-star beachfront resort known for its breathtaking ocean views, white sandy beaches and world-class hospitality. Natasha gave her followers a sneak peek of the island escape via Instagram, documenting everything from spa sessions to scenic beach walks.
“Our guilty pleasure is massage, and it’s our honeymoon, so we spoilt ourselves,” Natasha shared with a smile, reflecting on their first day at the resort.
Though she’s visited Mauritius twice before, Natasha noted this trip feels entirely different: “I never really got to experience the island properly, but there’s no one better to enjoy it with than my husband.”

From fairytale proposal to island honeymoon
The couple’s love story has played out like a fairytale. Enrico popped the question in February this year during a sunset yacht cruise at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront, and the pair exchanged vows just a month later at the picturesque Cavalli Estate in the Cape Winelands.
Their wedding was a dreamy, joy-filled celebration, and Natasha wasted no time sharing just how perfect the day felt.
“I woke up feeling like the luckiest woman in the world. Our wedding day was literally perfect,” she said on Instagram. “From the weather to our guests, the décor, the details — everything! I cried the entire day out of joy.”
She recalled a funny moment too: “When I stood at the aisle, I even asked my sister, ‘Is my makeup okay?’ She couldn’t even lie and said, ‘Nope.’ Best day of our lives.”
A new chapter begins
With the wedding behind them and the Maldives-like views of Mauritius ahead, Natasha and Enrico are kicking off married life with pure bliss.
