Stefan Benz, a South African singer from Centurion, recently made an appearance on the American version of ‘Idol‘ in the hopes of getting his golden ticket to Hollywood. In the process, he had Katy Perry cheering him on to Hollywood in Afrikaans…
During his audition, the 16-year-old performed a rendition of Brian McKnight’s ‘One Last Cry‘, which secured him his spot in the next round. To conclude his audition, American Idol judge, Luke Bryan, asked Benz how to say “you’re going to Hollywood” in Afrikaans…
The panel of judges, including Katy Perry, cheered as they shouted “jy gaan Hollywood toe” in support of Benz’s dreams. Move over Charlize, Katy is one of the 44 now.
