Yes, you’ve read correctly. Kim Kardashian has spilled the beans about her upcoming true crime podcast. The 41-year old SKIMS founder and Keeping Up With The Kardashians star reportedly signed a podcast deal with the popular streaming platform, Spotify, back in 2020 and it looks like crime tales are on the agenda.
In a chat with Interview Magazine, Kim revealed the following about her new upcoming true crime podcast:
“It’s called The System. The first season is about a really crazy case where a guy got the death sentence for a triple homicide that happened in Ohio. There are so many twists and turns with how it was handled—or mishandled—and we take the listener along for a journey in search of the truth.”
Kim K, who will be hosting the podcast herself, is approximately halfway through her studies toward becoming a lawyer. In December last year, she shared that she had finally passed the ‘baby bar’ law exam after three failed attempts. The aspiring lawyer has fostered a passion for criminal justice reform in the US, claiming that she’s motivated to help women who’ve been handed lengthy prison sentences for low-level drug offences in any way that she can.

While Kim shared no other details about the new podcast, or when it’s released is planned for, we’re excited to see what The System has lined up. If the podcast has taken two full two years to bring to fruition, perhaps we can expect a fleshed out, informative approach to select criminal cases in the US, related to criminal justice reform.
