In three weeks time, Natasha Joubert’s reign as Miss South Africa will come to an end as she crowns her successor and turns the page for a new chapter.
Natasha Joubert recently took to social media to reflect on the end of a chapter – her reign in long-running pageant, Miss South Africa.
The beauty queen, who has held the title for almost a year, will be crowning her successor at the SunBet Arena on Saturday 10 August.
Joubert, who is currently hosting the pageant’s reality series, Crown Chasers, reflected on the bittersweet feeling of closing a chapter and the uncertainty that comes with starting a new one.
“Why don’t we talk about how hard it is to end off a reign and such a special chapter in one’s life,” said the beauty queen, as per Good Things Guy.

Joubert, reflecting on her whirlwind journey of achieving a dream, cries “good tears” but admits that the end of an era, and having to say goodbye, is challenging.
Goodbyes are, for the most part, tough to swallow – difficult, often tainted with uncertainty, and lead to the question: “what’s next?” An answer that Joubert must still discover herself.
“Don’t ask me what’s next, we’ll find out together,” says the beauty queen, explaining that even the most well-intentioned questions about the future can become triggering when you don’t have the answers just yet.
The beauty queen also recently celebrated her 27th birthday, taking to social media to share a snippet of the life that she’s grateful for on her birthday. Breakfast in bed, cuddles from the fur children, and her supportive partner and soon-to-be hubby, Enrico Vermaak.
“Bad quality picture, good quality life! It’s my birthday! 27 and blessed!” wrote Joubert.
