Rachel Kolisi celebrated her 35th birthday surrounded by love and support, marking her first birthday since announcing her split from Springboks captain Siya Kolisi in October 2024.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, 22 January, Rachel shared her reflections on the milestone. Despite initially wanting to let the day pass quietly, she expressed gratitude for the love she received.
“This is 35!! I was surrounded by LOVE and JOY yesterday, and I’m so grateful! Thank you for every message, call, and random hug in the street,” she wrote.
She continued, “Crazy to think how desperately I wanted to sneak through this year’s birthday and try to do it better next year! There’s so much to celebrate.”

Her birthday comes just months after she and Siya announced their separation. The former couple, who share two children—Nicholas (10) and Keziah (7)—also took on the responsibility of raising Siya’s younger siblings, Liyema and Liphelo.
Despite the split, the Kolisi family bond remains strong. Siya’s brother shared a heartfelt tribute to Rachel on Instagram, calling her a “mother figure.” In December, Rachel took Siya’s sister, Liphelo, on a family vacation to Sydney, Australia.
