Selena Gomez is engaged to Benny Blanco. The pair announced their engagement on social media yesterday, making a joyful milestone in their year-long relationship.

The 32-year-old singer and actress shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. She posted a series of photos, including a close-up of her engagement ring and a candid moment of her and Blanco laughing and embracing. “Forever begins now,” she captioned the post.
Blanco, 36, commented, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.” Gomez also shared a playful selfie in her Instagram Stories, showing off the ring, with the caption “Yes to this!”

Gomez and Blanco first collaborated on the 2019 track I Can’t Get Enough, but their relationship turned romantic in June 2023. Since going public in December that year, the couple has often spoken about their deep connection.
In a May interview with Zane Lowe, Gomez reflected on their bond, saying:
“Without getting into too much detail, I think it’s just really important to meet someone that respects you… It’s the safest that I feel, and it’s been really lovely.”
Blanco echoed these sentiments in his own interviews. On The Howard Stern Show, he said, “When I look at her… I’m always just like, I don’t know a world where it could be better than this.”
Their relationship has been marked by heartfelt public tributes. In March, Gomez celebrated Blanco’s birthday on Instagram, writing, “Happy birthday baby! Your emotional endurance, positive disposition, unbelievable talent… and loving, kind heart absolutely kill me.”

Both stars have hinted at their dreams of building a future together. Gomez, who has been open about her health challenges, once shared her plans to adopt if she didn’t meet a partner by age 35. Meeting Blanco, she said, changed everything: “It just happens when you least expect it.”
As for Blanco, he told Howard Stern that starting a family is high on his list: “I love being around kids! That’s like my next goal on the box.”
