Over the weekend, the Bokke played their first match on home grounds since lifting the Rugby World Cup in Paris last year. Their squad of supportive wives, girlfriends and newborn babies all showed up in full SA colours to see them through yet another victory.
The Springboks celebrate a 27-20 win against Ireland after their match at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria over the weekend. The fresh victory was a demonstration of skill, but where would this impactful team of champs be, without the women who spur them on from the sidelines?
Springbok WAGs showed up in full support of their champs on game day. This time, with newborn babies on their hips, who were dressed in full South African colours to support their champion dads on game day.
Marise, wife to Handre Pollard, posted to Instagram on Sunday, sharing behind-the-scenes snaps from the match weekend.
Images included photographs of the couple’s newborn son, Hunter, receiving cuddles from his ‘Springbok aunties’ – fellow Springbok wives and girlfriends.
The post also includes an image of all four newborn moms and babies. Anlia Etzebeth, Rene De Klerk, Kirsten Marx and Marise Pollard herself.
