Award-winning American actor Leslie Jordan best known for his role as Beverly Leslie in sitcom Will & Grace has passed away at the age of 67.
According to reports, Jordan was involved in a single-car road accident and may have suffered a medical emergency at the wheel, causing Jordan to lose control of the car.
A statement about the actor’s passing was released by Hollywood agent Don LeClair:
“The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan,”

Jordan’s acting career spanned three decades as he appeared in hit shows like American Horror Story, Murphy Brown and Ugly Betty. In his most famous role in Will & Grace, he played the ever-witty Beverley Leslie, ‘frenemy’ of character Karen Walker. In 2006, Jordan received an Emmy Award as a guest actor in the comedy sitcom.

Acting wasn’t Jordan’s only claim to fame, though! In 2020, he went viral on Instagram, skyrocketing from 80 000 Instagram followers to a whopping 5.8 million, posting videos of how he kept himself entertained during the COVID pandemic, which was exactly the kind of sweet, silly emotional sanctuary the world needed at the time.
