Cape Town’s cold waters have long been deemed worthy by committed cold plungers, but for one ‘tannie’ ice bathing in Bantry Bay, the ocean would just not cut it – only her beachside inflatable would.
In a viral TikTok video that has amassed over 690, 000 views, Wouter Lombard expresses his confusion over a woman who can be seen cold plunging in Bantry Bay.
While most Capetonian cold-plungers would opt for a dip in the ocean’s icy waters, this ‘tannie’ chose her beachside inflatable packed with ice instead – and placed it just meters away from the tidal pool – a popular cold-plunging spot that most Capetonians go for.
