After an incredible fourth World Cup win for the Springboks, South Africa is beaming with pride, and so are the supportive partners of the nation’s Bokke, who gave it their all on the field to claim the Rugby World Cup title and bring the trophy home.
However, that may not be the only good news to come out of the World Cup final win…
On Saturday, after the Bokke claimed victory against New Zealand, Anlia Etzebeth – wife to Eben Etzebeth – posted an image to Instagram, celebrating the team and her hubby.
In the photo, we see post-match Eben and Anlia on the field, with the World Cup trophy in tow. A closer look reveals that Eben is cupping what seems to be a baby bump on Anlia, who is dressed from head-to-toe in Springbok colours.

Her caption reads:
“[BLESSINGS] upon BLESSINGS!🏆🤰🏼🎂☔️ Thank you Lord!🙏🙏🙏 Well done Bokke & HAPPY BIRTHDAY my liefste man!!🥳❤️”
Could the baby bump emoji be Anlia’s way of announcing her pregnancy?
While no official announcements have been made by the couple, all signs point towards the fact that they could be expecting!
To add further reason to celebrate, Eben turns 32-years-old today (29 October), one day after the team claimed victory. Etzebeth is the second player to celebrate a birthday during the World Cup – Yesterday, day of the final match, saw Cheslin Kolbe turn 31.
Congrats to the Etzebeth’s, and happy birthday, boys!
