Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s mother, a model and entrepreneur in her own right, is fast becoming the “it-girl” of the fashion world.
Maye Musk has just been named as the new face of international beauty brand CoverGirl cosmetics – at the age of 69!

Maye moved to Pretoria from Canada when she was 2 years old. According to an interview with Vanity Fair her modelling career started right here in SA – Maye was a finalist in the 1969 Miss South Africa pageant.
Internationally, she’s graced the catwalk of New York Fashion Week as well as appeared in various magazines. She also had a role in Beyonce’s music video for her song “Haunted”.
According to her Instagram bio she’s been a model for over 5 decades but it’s clear her real passion is healthy eating. Maye is a qualified dietitian and nutritionist.
