If you’re like me, you’ve already binged all the available episodes and now you’re eagerly anticipating Netflix’s Season 4 of Sex Education thanks to some major cliffhangers. Spoiler alert: Moordale Secondary closes its doors and the fate of our favs is left up in the air…
Netflix’s Announcement
Luckily Netflix didn’t leave us hanging. In August the streaming service announced that they will return with Season 4 of Sex Education. No date has been set for release just yet, however we do know that production kicked off in August earlier this year, with some of our most loved characters returning to set:

Not only will most of our favs be making a comeback (including Otis, Jean, Eric, Aimee, Maeve, Adam, Jackson, Ruby, Isaac, Viviene, Cal, Michael and Maureen.) There are new kids on the block…
Dan Levy joins the fourth season of Sex Education

Schitt’s Creek Emmy winner Dan Levy has joined the cast in a recurring role and is one of the seven new cast members joining the fourth round of the critically acclaimed series. Other new faces joining the gang are Thaddea Graham (Doctor Who), Marie Reuther (Kamikaze) and newcomers Felix Mufti, Anthony Lexa, Alexandra James and Imani Yahshua.
We’re sad to see them go…
We’ll be saying goodbye to Simone Ashley who won’t be returning to her role as Olivia in the new season, as she prepares for her role in Netflix’s series, Bridgerton. Ashley isn’t the only one we won’t be seeing more of. It has also been confirmed that Patricia Allison (Ola), Tanya Reynolds(Lily), and Rahkee Thakrar(Miss Sands) will also not be returning for Season 4.
Our best guess at a release date?
Filming is set to continue until year-end in the UK, our guess towards the release date would be no earlier than Spring next year, if season two’s release (which came one year after the series’ premiere) is anything to go by. For now, we’ll be waiting here in anticipation.
