The 73rd Miss Universe pageant is currently underway in Mexico, where South Africa’s Miss Universe, Mia le Roux, is flying the nation’s flag high.

Miss Universe 2024 features 130 women from around the globe vying for the crown, as they work through multiple events including personal statements, in-depth interviews, evening gown, and swimwear competitions for an opportunity to snag the crown.
The pageant will culminate with the crowning of the 73rd Miss Universe on November 16.
Currently, the international beauty queens have wrapped up their Gala de las Catrinas, and are midway through the pageant’s excursion tour, which ends on November 7.
On November 12, the dazzling Miss Universe crown will be revealed at the Crown Cocktail Party. Two days later, preliminaries and the National Costume Show will commence.
Before the grand finale on November 16th, Miss Universe contestants will gather for a Farewell Afternoon Tea with reigning Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palacios, from Nicaragua.
How to vote for your favourite Miss Universe semi-finalist
The 73rd Miss Universe pageant has encouraged the public to get involved with voting their favourite candidate into Semifinals, with voting for the Finals, Best Costume competition and others still to come.
Currently, the pageant has opened votes for the year’s Semifinalists. Votes are made via Choicely, and start at a minimum of $1 for three votes. Find the voting page here.
According the Miss Universe organisation, voting is open to anyone 14 or older, worldwide.
