TV personality Lee-Roy Wright is making a return to e.tv after nearly 10 years away from the small screen as an addition to The Morning Show. The popular show is hosted by Kgosi Rankhumise and Brighton Mhlongo, former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper.
“I’m incredibly excited to bring fresh energy to The Morning Show and connect with viewers each morning. This opportunity is a full-circle moment for me, and I can’t wait to embark on this new journey with e.tv,” recently stated Wright.
Wright, of course, is not new to presenting. He presented on e.tv’s kid’s show Craz-e from 2008 to 2015 and hosted a daily live show on SABC2 called World of Winners. But, in the time that he’s been away from the camera, Wright has continued to share his personality with the world, presenting on radio stations, travelling for press junkets, and becoming a co-owner of The Platinum Club, a boutique PR and digital agency.
In recent interviews, he shared:
“Having been in the media and entertainment space pretty much from the age of 18 years old, it was just a natural transition into the space of public relations, digital and communications as they all work together…
Storytelling has always been a passion of mine, whether being in front of the camera or now behind, bringing that skill into my work and profession just made sense.”

The decision to bring Wright back to e.tv has been met with enthusiastic support from the network. Faffa Nel, “The Morning Show” producer, commented: “[Wright’s] natural ability to make both guests and viewers at home feel welcome and comfortable is remarkable.”
Wright’s vision for The Morning Show includes a mix of engaging interviews, timely news, and light-hearted segments designed to brighten viewers’ mornings. His unique blend of warmth, wit, and professionalism promises to make the show a must-watch for audiences across South Africa.
We can all expect to see Wright and his personality bright and early on 10 July 2024.
