Marise and Handre Pollard celebrated twelve years together this week – the Springbok champ’s wife shared a message for her heartthrob on their anniversary.
On Monday, Marise Pollard took to social media to celebrate her twelfth year with rugby star Handre Pollard.
The couple’s love first bloomed in 2013, when Marise was a student at The University of Pretoria and Pollard was climbing the ranks in rugby, playing for the Bulls.
The couple met through Facebook where they began chatting. When they met up, the pair hit it off and started dating.
The couple tied the knot at the Cavalli Estate in the Cape Winelands in 2017.
They welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Hunter, this year. The couple shared the news shortly after South Africa’s Springboks claimed the Rugby World Cup.
When asked if they have plans for returning to South Africa permanently, Marise said that they ‘definitely’ will be returning to South Africa to raise their family, in a recent ‘Q&A’ online.
Celebrating their twelve year milestone together on Instagram on Monday, Marise wrtoe:
“12 jaar saam met jou, en ek het jou liewer as ooit.”
“[12 years with you, and I love you more than ever.]”
The message to her man was shared along with photographs from the couple’s pregnancy shoot in 2023.
