Meghan turns 37 on the 4th, and it turns out that there’s actually a sweet significance behind Meghan’s birthday, providing a touching connection between her and the Queen.
The Duchess of Sussex actually shares a birthday with Queen Elizabeth II’s mother, the Queen Mother. And given that the former Queen Elizabeth died in 2002, it’s sure to be an emotional day, particularly for the monarch.

The Queen Mother, like Meghan, was born on 4th August back in 1900, in the Hertfordshire town of Hitchen. Meghan, on the other hand, was born 81 years later, in her hometown of Los Angeles, California.
It’s a touching connection that the Duchess’ new family are likely to note as she celebrates her 37th birthday with them.
But how will Meghan actually be spending her first birthday as an official member of the royal family?
It seems Prince Harry won’t be whisking his new bride away for a special day out, as the pair have an important wedding to attend.
It’s thought that the Duke and Duchess will be heading to Charlie van Straubenzee’s wedding in the Surrey countryside, where Harry is expected to be performing best man duties for one of his oldest and closest friends.
It’s highly likely that Meghan will be his plus one at the event – so that the pair can spend her birthday together.

Ahead of her 37th, Meghan has also received her very first birthday present too! Animal charity PETA have already gifted the Duchess a stunning vegan leather handbag, which they hope will be a great present for animal-lover Meghan.
PETA Director Elisa Allen said, “This bag suits Meghan Markle’s fashion sensibility and animal-friendly attitudes to a T.
PETA hopes the gift will encourage the royal family and its fans alike to embrace compassionate brands like Alexandra K and to steer clear of cruelly obtained animal skins.”
We wonder what Meghan will be getting from new husband Harry for her special day? We guess we’ll have to wait and see…
