Atomic Blonde
Delivering a not-to-be-reckoned-with performance similar to her 2015 Imperator Furiosa, Charlize Theron triumphs as top-level MI6 spy Lorraine Broughton in this thrilling film. Set against the collapse of the Berlin Wall in 1989, Agent Broughton is sent to the German capital to demolish an intelligence ring that has killed an undercover British agent. Forming an unlikely and uncertain alliance with Berlin chief David Percival (James McAvoy), Lorraine outwits and out kicks her enemies in her mission to save the West’s espionage intelligence.

Girls Trip
Already a box office hit of Bridesmaids calibre, this R-rated female comedy is perfect for a girls’ night out. Four friends, played by Queen Latifah, Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett Smith and hilarious newcomer Tiffany Haddish, embark on a journey to New Orleans to attend the annual Essence Festival. Amid absinthe-induced hallucinations, dance-offs, and half-naked men (who are also half their ages), the girls rekindle their friendship and rediscover their passions. A wonderful romp that’s funnier at every turn!

My Cousin Rachel
The latest adaptation of Daphne du Maurier’s novel, this mystery-romance follows Englishman Philip’s journey to Florence, where he discovers his cousin Ambrose dead. Initially prepared to blame Ambrose’s death on his widow, Rachel (played perfectly by Rachel Weisz), Philip is caught off-guard when he falls for her lustrous charms. Unbeknownst to him, however, Rachel is plotting to take back Ambrose’s estate from Philip’s legal ownership. Gorgeous styling and breath-taking cinematography make this an ideal pick for the artistically-inclined.
