Back in 1998 the world changed forever when Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha first stepped onto our TV screens in the popular HBO series Sex and the City. Now – 23 years, 94 episodes, six seasons and two movies later – the smart and dynamic New York women (famously, without Samantha) are back in Sex and the City‘s newest chapter: And Just Like That…
The official trailer!
While there has been a behind the scenes Instagram account (@andjustlikethatmax), a lot of press around the new show and even a teaser, it is only now that we have been given a full trailer. And it starts with a very Sex and the City-esque line form Carrie,
The more I live, the more I find that if you have good friends in your corner, anything’s possible.
What we know
And Just Like That…seems to follow the same overall theme as the original Sex and the City. Three long-term fashionable New York women who despite their differences, ever-changing lives and sex lives, children and careers manage to stick together through the ups and downs. While we sure will miss Samantha (and are still speculating how the friendship dynamic will continue without her), there are tons of old and new characters to keep us occupied. The kids have grown up, the significant others are still there and the universe of Sex and the City has expanded to include Nicole Ari Parker’s Lisa Todd Wexley, Sarita Choudhury’s Seema Patel and Karen Pittman’s Dr. Nya Wallace. And of course, Carrie’s shoe closet makes a feature in the And Just Like That… trailer too!
