In January earlier this year, Paris Hilton added a new title to her fleet. Beyond Y2K icon, queen of all socialites, powerhouse-in-pink business mogul, singer and heiress, she’s now a mom.

Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, opted to have their child via surrogacy, largely keeping the news of their bun-in-the-oven a secret from the public. The couple welcomed their firstborn just a few months after their first anniversary.
The family has kept sharing posts about their baby boy to a minimum, but Paris has posted photos celebrating her baby boy and her newfound path in motherhood, every so often.
Most recently, Hilton took to Instagram to share snaps posing with her nine-month-old son, Pheonix, in celebration of her his first time in New York City.

Many commenters congratulated Paris on her adorable son, but a miserable few left nasty, judgemental comments about the size of her baby’s head.
One user commented “What’s he thinking about? 🤔” while others compared the baby boy to the character Stewie from Family Guy. Another commenter asked if her son has encephalitis, a rare syndrome that causes swelling of the brain.
In a clip posted by a TikToker defending Paris and her son, Hilton commented:
“There are some sick people in this world. My angel is perfectly healthy. And yes, of course he has been to a doctor, he just has a large brain.”
Despite the negative backlash, Paris is powering through as a mama and is elated to be on the journey.
In confirming the news of her baby boy to People earlier this year, Hilton shared:
“It’s always been my dream to be a mother and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other. We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy.”
