The video of the gender reveal that took a fatal turn shows a pregnant woman and her partner standing together in front of a decorative sign that reads ‘Oh baby’. The couple is gearing up for the gender reveal of their baby with a slew of friends and family in tow, who are filming the event from behind the lens.
The video proceeds to show a Piper PA-25 plane flying overhead the event. As the small plane gets closer, pink smoke released from the aircraft above reveals the gender of the baby.
At the same moment, the pilot, Luis Ángel N – who had attempted a shallow dive stunt for the reveal – attempts to pull off back into the air as the aircraft stalls and takes critical damage to the left wing before spiralling off and nosediving into flames.
Guests and the couple are seen celebrating in the moments the incident occurs, oblivious to the fact that the stunt had just gone fatally wrong.
