Queen of Katwe has finally opened in SA cinemas this week!

The anticipated film follows the story of young Phiona Mutesi growing up in the slum Kampala, Uganda. Based on the book by Tim Crothers, the Disney movie chronicles the real-life journey of Phiona achieving her dream of becoming a grandmaster in chess.
According to critics, Madina Nalwanga shines in her breakout role alongside seasoned actors Lupita Nyong’o and David Oyelowo.
