Proteas cricketer JP Duminy and his wife, Sue, have officially announced their separation after more than a decade of marriage.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, shared a joint statement on social media confirming their decision to part ways on amicable terms.
“After much consideration, Sue and I have decided to part ways,” the statement read. “We were fortunate to have shared many memorable moments together during our marriage and were blessed with two beautiful daughters.”
The couple also requested privacy as they navigate this transition, added that despite their separation, they remain friends.
“Though our paths diverge, we remain friends, and our separation is amicable. Thank you for your understanding and support during this time,” the statement reads.

The news comes amid another high-profile South African sporting separation, that of Siya and Rachel Kolisi, making waves in local headlines.
Despite the end of their marriage, JP and Sue appear committed to maintaining a positive co-parenting relationship for their two daughters.
