South Africa has walked away with the prestigious President’s Award at this year’s Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show.
In addition to the President’s Award, the team from the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) won South Africa’s 35th gold medal at the show, which features the who’s who of the horticultural world.
SANBI’s display was created by renowned designers Raymond Hudson and David Davidson.
The display was themed ‘A Window On Biodiversity’. According to sapeople.com, the display used the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens and Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens as a backdrop.
