Springbok rugby star Eben Etzebeth and his wife Anlia recently celebrated the five month milestone of being parents while on safari at a private reserve in KwaZulu-Natal.
Eben and Anlia welcomed their first child together in January this year. Now, the couple celebrate five months with their daughter after spending their first Mother’s Day and Father’s Day as parents.
The Etzebeth baby, whose name has not been revealed, has enjoyed a truly South African welcome to the world, having gone on her very first safari with mom and dad at andBeyond Phinda Private Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) in June.
Taking to social media to share memories of the family’s first safari together, Anlia wrote:
“What an amazing week! Eerste Safari saam met ons dogtertjie!”

Days later, Anlia took to Instagram with another snap of the family of three during their safari getaway in the KZN wilderness, writing:
“A whole 5months old!🥹 Die BESTE 5 maande van ons lewe! Ons grootste, grootste geskenk.. [“The best five months of our lives, the biggest, biggest gift.”] 🥰🙏. ‘God im still counting my blessings, all that you’ve done in my life..'”

The Etzeveth’s, just as the Pollard’s and De Klerk’s, have enjoyed soaking up every second of being first time parents.
On Father’s Day, Anlia took to social media with a special message for Eben, South Africa’s rugby star, on his first Father’s Day as a dad:
“Happy 1st Father’s Day!! Jy is die heel beste Pappa waarvoor ons dogtertjie kon vra! Dankie vir alles wat jy vir ons gesin doen.. Om hierdie hoofstuk van ouer-wees saam met jou aan te pak is die mees opwindendste, lekkerste ding ooit! [Thank you for everything you do for our family. To spend this chapter as parents with you is the most exciting, wonderful thing ever.] We love you and cherish you! Happy Father’s Day to all the daddios!!!”
